Pedestrian Bridge At Sappi Ngodwana
I was asked to photograph the insertion of a pedestrian bridge accessing the staff village at Sappi Ngodwana. The structure was already assembled and the walkway ramps already built, it was just a matter of inserting the bridge built by Quality Steel, Nelspruit. The massive 170 ton crane made short work of the 50 ton bridge and it was amazing to see the intricacy at which the operator skilfully lifted and placed the bridge with millimetres to spare.
A very cool shoot indeed and I must say, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my Nikkor 14-24mm lens. Most of the shots were taken at 14mm (full frame) on a monopod to get that slight elevation.[/vc_column_text][dt_gap height=”50″][vc_column_text]
